Manu Tandon, CIO of BIDMC will discuss BIDMC's efforts to enhance its on-premise data center capabilities with the cloud. He will discuss BIDMC's enterprise strategy for leveraging both vended and home-grown systems, as well as its current pilots with Amazon Web Services, Apple and Google.
Manu Tandon servers as the Chief Information Officer for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School affiliated Academic Medical Center in Boston. In his current role he is responsible for all IT functions pertaining to the Medical Center and the enterprise infrastructure solution for the BID System. Before joining BIDMC in 2014, Manu served as the Secretariat Chief Information Officer for Massachusetts' Executive Office of Health and Human Services where he led the state’s largest public sector IT portfolio. Manu played a key role in the development of the Massachusetts' Health Information Exchange known as Mass HIWay which now supports over 5 Million healthcare interoperability transactions each month in Massachusetts. Manu was recognized by Computer World Magazine as one of the top 100 CIOs in the world.
